Maka Kotto
Maka Kotto (born December 7, 1961) is a Cameroonian-born French-Canadian politician. Educated in France, Kotto immigrated to Quebec, Canada, where he was an educator before entering politics. Kotto was a Parti Québécois member of the National Assembly of Quebec for the riding of Bourget. From 2012 to 2014, he served as the Minister of Culture and Communications. A former member of the House of Commons of Canada for the Bloc Québécois, Kotto is also a published author and has appeared in films. Early life and education Kotto was born in Douala, Cameroon, and graduated from high school at Lycée Henri-Martin in Saint-Quentin, France. He studied law, politics, dramatic art and cinema in Nanterre, Bordeaux and Paris. Kotto immigrated to Quebec in 2006. Before becoming a politician Kotto was an author, actor, and stage director. Yaphet Frederick Kotto (born Frederick Samuel Kotto; November 15, 1939 – March 15, 2021) was an American actor known for numerous film roles, as well as starring in the NBC television series '' Homicide: Life on the Street'' (1993–1999) as Lieutenant Al Giardello. His most well-known films include the science-fiction horror film ''Alien'' (1979), the science-fiction action film '' The Running Man'' (1987), the James Bond film '' Live and Let Die'' (1973), in which he portrayed the main villain Dr. Kananga, and the comedy thriller ''Midnight Run'' (1988) opposite Robert De Niro. Kotto River
The Kotto River (or Koto River) is a tributary of the Oubangui River in the Central African Republic. Its source is on the south side of the Bongo Massif, near Mount Toussoro on the border between the Central African Republic and Sudan. It flows generally north-east to south-west for past Bria, joining the Ubangi River east of Mobaye. The river separates the Tondou Massif from the Mongos chain to the north. There are several rapids along its course.
