Kori (woreda)
Kori is one of the Districts of Ethiopia, or ''woreda'', in the Afar Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Administrative Zone 1, Kori is bordered on the south by Dubti, on the west the Administrative Zone 4, on the north by the Administrative Zone 2, on the east by Elidar. The administrative center is Ayrorta. Kori was created by a decision of the Afar Regional Cabinet on 4 February 2007, from the northern part of Dubti. Demographics Based on the 2007 Census conducted by the Central Statistical Agency of Ethiopia (CSA), this woreda has a total population of 30,652, of whom 16,821 are men and 13,831 women; with an area of 2,869.56 square kilometers, Kori has a population density of 10.68. While 0 or 0.00% are urban inhabitants, a further 16,951 or 55.30% are pastoralists. Kori Inkpen
Kori Marie Inkpen (also published as Kori Inkpen Quinn) is a Canadian computer scientist specializing in human-computer interaction at Microsoft Research. A consistent theme of her research has been the interaction of children with computers. Inkpen is a 1992 graduate of Dalhousie University, and completed her Ph.D. in 1997 at the University of British Columbia (UBC). At UBC, she credits Maria Klawe and a project led by Klawe on educational electronic games for sparking her interest in human-computer interaction and encouraging her to continue in academic computer science. Her dissertation, ''Adapting the Human-Computer Interface to Support Collaborative Learning Environments'', was jointly supervised by Klawe and Kellogg S. Booth. Starfire (Princess Koriand'r) is a superheroine appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. She debuted in a DC Comics insert previews, preview story inserted within ''DC Comics Presents'' #26 (October 1980) and was created by Marv Wolfman and the late George Pérez. Kutch Kori
The Kori was the currency of Kutch State until 1948. It was subdivided into 24 ''Dokda'' (singular ''Dokdo'' ), each of 2 ''Trambiyo''. Only coins were issued. Other copper coins in use were called ''Dhabbu'' and ''Dhinglo''. The Kori was replaced by the Indian rupee. Silver coins of Kutch were commonly minted in 4 denominations - Half Kori, 1 Kori, 2.5 Kori and 5 Kori. Due to differing silver content, the 5 Kori coin is only about 3 times the weight of the 1 Kori coin. The coins of Kutch bore the name of the local ruler, Maharao of the Kutch State and the British monarch.
