''Limmy's Show!'' is a Scottish surreal comedy sketch show broadcast on BBC Two Scotland, written, directed and based on the 2006 podcast Limmy's World of Glasgow by Brian "Limmy" Limond, who stars as himself and a variety of characters in a series of observational, surreal, dark and bizarre sketches. Limmy frequently breaks the fourth wall by directly talking to viewers through the camera. The show stars Brian Limond, Paul McCole, Alan McHugh, Kirstin McLean and Ryan Fletcher. River City
''River City'' is a Scottish television soap opera that was first broadcast on BBC One Scotland on 24 September 2002. ''River City'' follows the lives of the people who live and work in the fictional district of Shieldinch. In November 2017, a short crossover episode of the show was made for '' Children in Need'' and featured several of the show's characters meeting characters from Scottish sitcom ''Scot Squad''. ''Frankie Boyle's Tramadol Nights'' is a comedy sketch show created in 2010 by Frankie Boyle, starring Boyle himself alongside Jim Muir, Tom Stade, Robert Florence and Thaila Zucchi. History In October 2009, Boyle announced online that he would be leaving BBC panel show ''Mock the Week'' after seven series to focus on his tour and "some other funny things I'm writing". Later that month, he told ''The Daily Mirror'' that his new material would include a comedy sketch show for Channel 4, without censoring any of the black humour he had become known for. An appearance on ''Friday Night with Jonathan Ross'' followed, when Boyle revealed that the show was originally called ''Deal with This, Retards'', but had to be changed to avoid offence.
