Alexander Kircher (Trieste, 26 February 1867 – 16 September 1939, Berlin) was an Austrian-German marine and landscape painter and illustrator. Many of his paintings can be seen in museums in Germany, Austria, Croatia, and Slovenia while others are held by private owners in those same countries, as well as the United States of America, Great Britain, Scandinavia, and Greece. From time to time Kircher's paintings are presented for sale at such leading auction houses as Christie's and Bonhams in London, Sotheby's in New York, the Burchard Galleries in St. Petersburg, Florida, Stahl Hamburg, Van Ham Cologne, the Dorotheum in Vienna, and several others. Alton S. Kircher (December 5, 1909 – November 1, 2004) was an American football, basketball, and baseball player and coach. Early years Born in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin, Kircher grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in Gladstone. He was a star athlete at Gladstone High School and then attended Michigan State College in East Lansing, where he earned nine letters in football, basketball, and baseball for the Spartans. Kircher was the quarterback on the football team and the captain of the basketball team. An outfielder in baseball, he had a batting average of .430 (37 for 86) in 1933. Coaching career Kircher began his coaching career in Michigan at Trout Creek High School in 1935 as the basketball coach, and won two state titles (class D), in 1935 and 1937. Pete Kircher
Peter Derek Kircher (born 21 January 1945, Folkestone, Kent) is a retired English rock/ pop drummer. Between 1982 and 1985 he was a member of Status Quo, performing with the band at Live Aid and on the albums '' Live at the N.E.C.'' and '' Back to Back''. Life and career Kircher's style is rhythmic, and much of his work uses a low-tuned snare drum sound. As well as drums, Kircher contributed backing vocals to the bands he played with, and test pressings of a 1973 solo single – "Rockin' Lady" – are known to exist. In the early 1960s, Kircher toured Germany doing club gigs as the drummer for The Burnettes, a band featuring Neil Landon as singer and Noel Redding playing guitar. Knut Kircher (born 2 February 1969) is a former German football referee who is based in Rottenburg am Neckar. He refereed for TSV Hirschau of the Württemberg Football Association. Refereeing career In 1998, he became a referee in the 2. Bundesliga. Kircher was then promoted to referee in the German Bundesliga for the 2001–02 season. In 2004, he became a FIFA referee. He officiated his first match on 8 September 2004; the World Cup qualifying match between Andorra and Romania (1–5). Kircher retired from officiating in 2016 because he reached the age limit for German referees, which is 47. His final Bundesliga match officiated was between Bayern Munich and Hannover 96. George S. Kircher (October 3, 1887 – April 1, 1949) was a longtime baseball figure. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky. He played in the minor leagues from 1908 to 1918 and in 1921, spending time with the Shelbyville Grays, Maysville Rivermen, Winchester Hustlers, Norfolk Tars, Atlanta Crackers, Nashville Volunteers, Portland Beavers (of the well-regarded Pacific Coast League), Rocky Mount Tar Heels, Richmond Climbers, Fort Wayne Panthers and Meridian Mets.
