Kharkiv Raion
Kharkiv Raion ( uk, Харківський район) is a raion (district) of Kharkiv Oblast in eastern Ukraine. Its administrative center is the city of Kharkiv. Population: On 18 July 2020, as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, the number of raions of Kharkiv Oblast was reduced to seven, and the area of Kharkiv Raion was significantly expanded. One abolished raion, Derhachi, as well as Liubotyn Municipality, part of Nova Vodolaha Raion, and the city of Kharkiv, which was previously incorporated as a city of oblast significance and did not belong to the raion, were merged into Kharkiv Raion. Raions Of Ukraine
Raions of Ukraine (often translated as "districts"; Ukrainian: ра́йон, tr. ''raion''; plural: райо́ни, tr. ''raiony'') are the second level of administrative division in Ukraine, below the oblast. Raions were created in a 1922 administrative reform of the Soviet Union, to which Ukraine, as the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, belonged. On 17 July 2020, the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine's parliament) approved an administrative reform to merge most of the 490 raions, along with the "cities of regional significance", which were previously outside the raions, into just 136 reformed raions. Mala Danylivka ( uk, Мала Данилівка, russian: Мала Данилівка) is an urban-type settlement in Kharkiv Raion of Kharkiv Oblast in Ukraine. It is essentially a northern suburb of the city of Kharkiv and is located between Kharkiv and Derhachi on the banks of the Lopan and the Lozovenka rivers, in the drainage basin of the Don. Lyptsi ( uk, Липці) is a village in the Kharkiv Raion, Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine. Situated at the point where the Lypets River flows into the Kharkiv River, Lyptsi is close to the border with Russia. It hosts the administration of Lyptsi rural hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. History The village was founded in 1655 by peasants from Right-bank Ukraine. Village
