Kelsterbach () is a town in Groß-Gerau (district), Groß-Gerau district in Hessen, Germany and part of the Frankfurt Rhein-Main Regional Authority, Frankfurt Rhein-Main urban area. It is located on Frankfurt's southwestern outskirts at a bend on the left bank of the river Main (river), Main, right where a small brook, called the Kelster (and ''Bach'' means "brook") joins the river. After the Frankfurt–Mainz railway line was built, this formerly mostly Agriculture, agricultural village was transformed by the great number of large Factory, factories that located here, bringing along with them a great upswing in the town's population. In the decades following the Second World War, many businesses that were related to Frankfurt International Airport moved to the town. Kelsterbach is home to 16,565 people (). Hattersheim Am Main
Hattersheim am Main () is a town in the Main-Taunus district, Hesse (Germany) and part of the Frankfurt Rhein-Main urban area. Geography Neighbouring towns Hattersheim borders the city of Frankfurt in the northeast, in the southeast with Kelsterbach, in the southwest with Raunheim (both are in the district of Groß-Gerau). Raunheim is a town in Groß-Gerau district in Hesse, Germany and a part of the Frankfurt Urban Region as well as the Frankfurt Rhein-Main Region. Groß-Gerau (district)
Groß-Gerau is a Kreis (district) in the south of Hesse (''Hessen'' in German), Germany. Neighboring districts are Main-Taunus, district-free Frankfurt, Darmstadt-Dieburg, Bergstraße, Alzey-Worms, Mainz-Bingen, and the district-free cities Mainz and Wiesbaden. History The historic roots of the district is the ''Gerauer Mark'', which was first mentioned in 910. Starting in 1066 the counts of Katzenelnbogen became the rulers of the area, until in 1479 it came to Hesse. The district was formed in 1832. The eastern part was moved to the Darmstadt-Dieburg district in 1874, and Gernsheim was included, which gave the district its current size. The Main () is the longest tributary of the Rhine. It rises as the White Main in the Fichtel Mountains of northeastern Bavaria and flows west through central Germany for to meet the Rhine below Rüsselsheim, Hesse. The cities of Mainz and Wiesbaden are close to the confluence. The largest cities on the Main are Frankfurt am Main, Offenbach am Main and Würzburg. Höchst ( or ) is a quarter of Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It is part of the ''Ortsbezirk West''. Höchst am Main was annexed by Frankfurt am Main in 1928, at the same time as Sindlingen, Unterliederbach and Zeilsheim.
