Kue kochi or koci (also known as passover cake in English) is a Maritime Southeast Asian dumpling-type kuih found in Javanese, Malay and Peranakan cuisine, typically made from black glutinous rice flour, and stuffed with coconut fillings with palm sugar. In Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, this snack is often as a dessert and can be eaten at anytime (during breakfast or tea time). The black colour of the unpolished rice symbolises death, while the sweet filling represents resurrection. Kochi (東風フォント) was a font development project to build free replacements of proprietary fonts such as MS Gothic or MS Mincho, developed by Yasuyuki Furukawa (古川 泰之). The project consisted of the Kochi Gothic and Kochi Mincho fonts. It was released in the public domain. Plagiarism controversy The Kochi Mincho font began as an outline version of a raster font known as Watanabe (渡邊). This version was deprecated in 2003 after it was discovered by Hiroki Kanou, one of the developers, that Watanabe was largely copied from a commercial font, TypeBank Mincho-M; while it was not clear that any law was being broken, the developers were not interested in working with plagiarised material. Mahasu Pahari
Mahasu Pahari (Takri: ) is a Western Pahari language spoken in Himachal Pradesh. It is also known as Mahasui or Mahasuvi. The speaking population is about 1,000,000 (2001). It is more commonly spoken in the Himachal Pradesh, Shimla (Simla) and Solan districts. It is to be known that Shimla and Solan were parts of the old Mahasu district. Himachal Pradesh State on 1 September 1972 reorganised the districts dissolving Mahasu district. The Solan district was carved out of Solan and Arki tehsils of the then Mahasu district and tehsils of Kandaghat and Nalagarh of the then Shimla District of Punjab. Area According to different locations, the language has developed several dialects. Kochi Tuskers Kerala is a now defunct franchise cricket team that played in the Indian Premier League (IPL) representing the city of Kochi, Kerala, India. The team was one of two new franchises added to the IPL for the 2011 season, alongside Pune Warriors India. The team franchise was owned by Kochi Cricket Pvt Ltd., which was a consortium of multiple companies. The KTK only played for one season, in 2011, and was terminated the following year. Kochi Refinery Limited (KRL) is a crude oil refinery in the city of Kochi in Kerala, India. It is the largest public sector refinery in India with a production capacity of 15.5 million tonnes per year. Formerly known as Cochin Refineries Limited and later renamed as Kochi Refineries Limited, it was acquired by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited in the year 2006. Yumbe District is a district in Northern Region, Uganda. Like most other Ugandan districts, it is named after its 'chief town', Yumbe, where the district headquarters are located. Location Yumbe District is one of Uganda's most northern districts.
