Epic Of Koroghlu
The ''Epic of Koroghlu'' (; ; ; ) is a heroic legend prominent in the oral traditions of the Turkic peoples, mainly the Oghuz Turks. The legend typically describes a hero who seeks to avenge a wrong. It was often put to music and played at sporting events as an inspiration to the competing athletes. Koroghlu is the main hero of an epic with the same name in Azerbaijani, Turkmen and Turkish as well as some other Turkic languages. The epic tells about the life and heroic deeds of Koroghlu as a hero of the people who struggled against unjust rulers. The epic combines the occasional romance with Robin Hood-like chivalry. Due to the migration in the Middle Ages of large groups of Oghuz Turks within Central Asia, South Caucasus and Asia Minor, and their subsequent assimilation with other ethnic groups, the Epic of Koroghlu spread widely in these geographical regions leading to emergence of its Turkmen, Kazakh, Uzbek, Tajik, Azerbaijani, Turkish, Crimean Tatar, Georgian, ...

Koroglu Rahimov () (October 31, 1953, Xaçmaz, Oghuz, Azerbaijan – July 3, 1992, Aghdara, Azerbaijan) was the National Hero of Azerbaijan, the warrior of the First Nagorno-Karabakh War and the Division Commander of the 2nd military division of the military unit "N".Azərbaycanın Milli Qəhrəmanları: Biblioqrafiya /Tərtib edəni: H.M.Həmidova.- B., 2008.- s.176 Military activities Koroglu Rahimov joined as a volunteer to the National Army on 17 March 1992. Abdülkadir Köroğlu (born june 03, 1984, in Trabzon) is a Turkish amateur boxer competing in the welterweight division. He is a native of Trabzon, where he is coached by Nazım Dalkıran. Elif Köroğlu
Elif Köroğlu is a Turkish female football referee and long-distance runner. Elif Köroğlu began her official career in the amateur league match in March 2015. She served in the role of referee in various age categories of the amateur league between 2016 and 2017. In July 2017, she was promoted to the position of professional referee. She serves as a referee in the women's and men's professional leagues. She started her athletics by running in the 4K meters branch. When she was only 14 years old, she ran 55.02 seconds and became the third in Turkey. She then continued in the 400 meters branch. In 2013 she started running 5K, 10K, 15K, 25K, 21K and 42K. She has different championships in these branches as well.
