Köping Basket
Köping Basket, also known as The Köping Stars, is a basketball club based in Köping, Sweden. The club was founded in 2003, but changed its name for the men's team to Köping Stars in January 2018. The club plays its home games in the Karlbergshallen. Since the 2018–19 season, Stars plays in the Basketligan, the highest tier of basketball in Sweden. Basketligan
Svenska Basketligan, or the Swedish Basketball League (SBL), is the premier league for professional basketball in Sweden. The league was originally established in 1992 as Basketligan and was known as that prior to the season of 2006–07, but when the Sweden, Swedish company Obol Investment signed an agreement with the Swedish Basketball Federation in early October 2006, the league was renamed Obol Basketball League (OBL). In January 2007 the name was changed to Ligan, meaning simply the League. History On October 6, 2006, the Swedish Basketball Federation signed a 15-year agreement with Switzerland, Swiss company Obol Investment. Part of the deal was that ''Basketligan'' would be renamed ''Obol Basketball League''. Köping, Sweden
Köping is a locality and the seat of Köping Municipality in Västmanland County, Sweden. It had 17,743 inhabitants in 2010. It is known for the television series '' I en annan del av Köping''. Roger Michael Kelly (19 December 1943 – 14 June 2014), known by the stage name Sam Kelly, was an English actor who appeared in film, television, radio and theatre. Austin Price (born September 16, 1995) is an American basketball player who last played for Heroes Den Bosch of the BNXT League. Early life Price was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, moved to Detroit when he was a sophomore in high school, and his hometown is Farmington Hills, Michigan. He is 6-4, 185 pounds (193 cm, 83 kg). Superettan (basketball)
Superettan is the second-tier league of men's professional basketball in Sweden. The league was established in 2017 and replaced the Basketettan as the second level. Köping Stars was the inaugural champion. The winners of Superettan are promoted to Basketligan. Since the 2021-22 season there has been a playoffs after the end of the regular season.
