Kåre Garnes
Kåre Garnes (born 8 November 1954 in Bergen, Norway) is a Norwegian jazz musician (upright bass), known for his collaborations with Bergen jazz legends like Dag Arnesen, Knut Kristiansen, Per Jørgensen, Olav Dale and Ole Thomsen, and in a series of Norwegian jazz bands. Career From the mid-1970s he was a central figure on the Bergen jazz scene, and participated such within orchestras like Knut Kristiansen/Per Jørgensen Quintet 1979–80, Ny Bris and Steam 1980–83. He moved to Oslo in 1983, and there he collaborated with musicians such as Odd Riisnæs, Bjarne Nerem, Laila Dalseth and Per Husby. In 2010–12 he has performed a series of gigs at Oslo jazz clubs with his own K. G. Trio including Svein Christiansen (drums) and Håkon Storm-Mathisen (guitar), and in the quintet "Changes" including Tom Olstad, Nils Jansen and Rune Klakegg. __NOTOC__ Curling Legs Productions A/S (established 1992 in Oslo, Norway) is a Norwegian record label with a catalogue encompassing all styles of jazz and improvised music. It was started by Knut Værnes and Morten Halle to release their own music. In 1994, Odin Records was licensed to Curling Legs from the Norwegian Jazz Forum, to continue the production of Norwegian jazz. In addition to Værnes and Halle, the third co-owner of Curling Legs is Helge Westbye, the director of the record label Grappa Music, and the label is part of FONO. Totti Bergh
Theodor Christian Frølich Bergh known as Totti Bergh (5 December 1935 – 4 January 2012) was a Norwegians, Norwegian jazz musician (saxophone), the younger brother of the jazz journalist Johannes (Johs.) Bergh (1932–2001). He was married to jazz singer Laila Dalseth. He was born and died in Oslo. Career Bergh began to play clarinet, and began learning the saxophone in 1952. In 1956, he became a professional musician. He was a regular member of Kjell Karlsen, Kjell Karlsen Sextet for three years, in addition to collaborating sporadically with Rowland Greenberg and other musicians on the Norwegian jazz scene as it once provisioned live dance music of good brand. Nora Brockstedt
Nora Brockstedt (20 January 1923 – 5 November 2015) was a Norwegian singer. She was the first person ever to represent Norway in the European Song Contest, appearing as the Norwegian entrant in 1960 and 1961. She was first nationally known through being part of the musical quintet The Monn Keys. In her last years, she focused more on the jazz genre, with successful albums like ''As Time Goes By'' (JazzAvdelingen, 2004) and ''Christmas Songs'' (JazzAvdelingen, 2005). She sang jazz in the 1960s, but was more known for her conventional pop songs. Rune Klakegg (born 19 April 1955 in Skien, Norway) is a Norwegian jazz pianist and composer, the older brother of guitarist Bjørn Klakegg, and known from a number of recordings and jazz bands including Oslo 13, Cutting Edge, Fuzzy Logic, Out to Lunch and Søyr. Career Klakegg played within and composed music for bands like Cutting Edge, "Søyr", Fuzzy Logic, and "Out to Lunch".
