Kysucké Nové Mesto District
Kysucké Nové Mesto District (''okres Kysucké Nové Mesto'') is a district in the Žilina Region of northern central Slovakia, in the Kysuce region. It is entirely surrounded by the Žilina and Čadca districts. Apart from the city districts in Bratislava and Košice, its area is the smallest of all Slovakia districts, although population density is the second highest in Slovakia. The district had been established in 1923 and in its current borders exists from 1996. Districts Of Slovakia
The districts of Slovakia are administrative units known as in the Slovak language. It is a second-tier territorial administrative unit, below a Region () in standing, and superior to a municipality (). Each district contains at least several municipalities. The cities of Bratislava and Košice are the only cities in Slovakia divided into internal urban districts, with five in Bratislava, and four in Košice. These urban districts are then further divided into smaller boroughs (which serve a function analogous to municipalities in typical districts). All other districts are larger in size and also include rural areas, and rural as well as urban municipalities. Each of these more typical districts has an urban centre serving as the seat of the district, usually the largest town (or the only town) of a given district. Horný Vadičov
Horný Vadičov () is a village and municipality in the Kysucké Nové Mesto District in the Žilina Region of northern Slovakia. History Due to the village's ancient history, it is difficult to determine exactly when modern Horný Vadičov was established. The village was most likely founded at the end of the 14th century, denoted by a mention to the area in writing in 1385 as ''Silva Vaditzov''. Other written mentions of the name of the village are from 1419 as ''Vadycho'', 1504 as ''Felse Wadychov'', 1773 as ''Horní Wadičow'', and the Hungary, Hungarian names Felsövadisco and Felsövadas. Lopušné Pažite
Lopušné Pažite () is a village and municipality in the Kysucké Nové Mesto District in the Žilina Region of northern Slovakia. Lopušné Pažite was created by merging the former villages of Lopušná and Pažite in 1946. History Because Lopušné Pažite was merged from two towns, their origins also begin separately. The first mention of the older village Lopušné was in 1572. At that time, the village belonged to the Budatín Castle, Budatín estate and had one taxed and two untaxed farmsteads with one prison officer, jailer and was based on Vlach law, Wallachian law. In 1598, the village grew to 7 houses. In 1720, the village grew to 9 taxpayers and jailers.
