Kyra Elzy
Kyra Elzy (born August 17, 1978) is an American college basketball coach who is an assistant coach for the Duke Blue Devils women's basketball team. She was previously the head coach at the Kentucky Wildcats women's basketball, University of Kentucky. College career Elzy attended Tennessee Lady Volunteers basketball, Tennessee between 1996 and 2001, sitting out the 1998 – 99 season due to an injury. Under acclaimed coach Pat Summitt, she was a member of the teams that won the national championship in 1997 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament, 1997 and 1998 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament, 1998, as well as the team that finished as the national runner-up in 2000 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament, 2000. Duke Blue Devils Women's Basketball
The Duke Blue Devils women's basketball team is the college basketball program representing Duke University in the Atlantic Coast Conference of NCAA Division I. Team history In 1974, Duke hired Emma Jean Howard to teach physical education and to serve as the head coach of the women's basketball and volleyball teams. Initially, women's basketball was played as a club sport. In the first season, 1974–75, the team played locally, finishing second in the state with a 6–7 record. The women's athletic department merged with the men's athletics in 1975, and the second year is considered as the first official season of the program as a varsity sport. Holly Warlick
Frances Hollingsworth "Holly" Warlick (born June 11, 1958) is an American college basketball coach who was head coach for the Tennessee Lady Volunteers basketball, Tennessee Lady Volunteers. She replaced head coach Pat Summitt prior to the 2012–13 season and held the position until the end of the 2018–19 season. Warlick was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001. Playing history Born Frances Hollingsworth Warlick in Knoxville, Tennessee, Warlick played for Tennessee under Pat Summitt where she was a three-time All-American point guard and set several school records. She was also the first player in Tennessee sports history to have her jersey retired at the end of her playing career and was named to the 1980 US Olympic Basketball Team. The 2023–24 Kentucky Wildcats women's basketball team represented the University of Kentucky during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I women's basketball season.
