Kyoto Animation
, often abbreviated , is a Japanese animation studio and light novel publisher located in Uji, Kyoto Prefecture. It was founded in 1985 by husband and wife Hideaki and Yoko Hatta, who remain its president and vice-president respectively. Kyoto Animation has produced anime films and series including ''The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya'' (2006), ''Clannad (video game), Clannad'' (2007), ''K-On!'' (2009), ''Nichijou'' (2011), ''Free! Mushi Production
or Mushi Pro for short, is a Japanese animation studio headquartered in Fujimidai, Nerima, Tokyo, Japan. It previously had a headquarters elsewhere in Nerima. The studio was headed by manga artist Osamu Tezuka. Tezuka started it as a rivalry with Toei Animation, his former employer, after Tezuka's contract with Toei expired in 1961. ''Nurse Witch Komugi'', known in Japan as , is an original video animation (OVA) anime series produced by Tatsunoko Production. The series lasted for seven episodes (eight if episode 2.5 that appeared in the middle of the series is included), all of which were released on DVD in North America by ADV Films. The story of the anime is a parody of both '' The SoulTaker'' and the magical girl anime genre. It revolves around Komugi Nakahara, a cosplay idol who turns into Magical Nurse Witch Komugi when trouble is around.
