Kylan Boswell
Kylan Boswell (born April 18, 2005) is an American basketball player for the Illinois Fighting Illini of the Big Ten Conference. He previously played for the Arizona Wildcats for two seasons. He also represented the United States at the 2021 FIBA Under-16 Americas Championship and 2023 FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup. Early life and education He was born to Brandon and Ashley Boswell in Champaign, Illinois. He is of African-American and Samoan heritage. Boswell attended Bottenfield Elementary and Edison Middle School in Champaign before transferring to Urbana Middle School, leading the Tigers to a state finals appearance. Following this, he departed for high school in California. He played for two schools throughout two seasons before transferring to Arizona College Preparatory for his junior year. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. They effectively "run" the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Generally, point guards are expected to be proficient in passing the ball and being able to get Assist (basketball), assists to teammates. Montverde Academy is a private college preparatory school in Montverde, Florida, United States, located in the Greater Orlando area. The school is widely known for its athletic programs, particularly soccer and basketball. History The school was founded in 1912 as Montgomery Industrial School. The school president was Henry P. Carpenter. It underwent a major expansion in 1921, when two new buildings were built for a cost of almost $40,000, including a concrete block dormitory for 200 boys and a new dining hall. The expansion was funded by donations, including $11,000 from R. Jay Arnold of Groveland, Florida.
