Emrah Kuş (born 13 October 1988 in Çorum, Turkey) is a Turkish Greco-Roman wrestler. Competing for İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyespor, he is coached by Cengiz Papağan and Kemal Karadağ. At the 17th Mediterranean Games held in Mersin, Turkey in 2013, he became gold medalist. He won the bronze medal in the 74 kg division at the 2013 World Wrestling Championships. Nafia Kuş Aydın (born 20 February 1995) is a world and European champion Turkish female taekwondo practitioner competing in the heavyweight division. She won the gold medal in the women's heavyweight event at the 2023 World Taekwondo Championships held in Baku, Azerbaijan. Career Kuş is a native of Adana, Turkey. She has been performing taekwondo since age 8. Currently, Kuş is studying Physical Education and Sports at Çukurova University in Adana. Kuşadası () is a municipality and district of Aydın Province, Turkey. Its area is 265 km2, and its population is 130,835 (2022). It is a large resort town on the Aegean coast. Lake Kuş
Lake Kuş () or Lake Manyas () is a lake in western Turkey, located in the Bandırma region. It is a shallow nutrient-rich freshwater lake (average depth 3 m) fed by groundwater and four streams. Small deltas have formed where the latter enter the lake, comprising extensive marshes and tree-lined riverbanks. Narrow belts of reed ''Phragmites'' fringe much of the lake. Water is abstracted for factory use and for irrigation. Cattle and sheep grazing are common along the lake shores. Overview Manyas Lake is an important site for breeding and wintering waterbirds. Kilim Motif
Many motif (textile arts), motifs are used in traditional kilims, handmade flat-woven rugs, each with many variations. In Turkish Anatolia in particular, village women wove themes significant for their lives into their rugs, whether before marriage or during married life. Some motifs represent desires, such as for happiness and children; others, for protection against threats such as wolves (''to the flocks'') and scorpions, or against the evil eye. These motifs were often combined when woven into patterns on kilims. With the fading of tribal and village cultures in the 20th century, the meanings of kilim patterns have also faded. In these tribal societies, women wove kilims at different stages of their lives, choosing themes appropriate to their own circumstances.
