Axel Kulle
Henrik Axel Kulle (22 March 1846 – 27 February 1908) was a Swedish painter who specialized in genre scenes. Biography Kulle was born in Lund, Sweden. His father was a brewer and innkeeper. His older brother, , was also a painter and his younger brother, , was a medalist. He was apprenticed to a local painter. In 1865, enrolled at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts where he studied until 1872. He returned to Lund the following year and was able to sell some paintings to the local Art Society. In 1875, he left home for Düsseldorf, where he studied with Swedish-German genre painter Ferdinand Fagerlin. He introduced Kulle to the Düsseldorf School work. In 1877, Kulle sent home a painting, "The Church Council in Skåne", that was bought by the Nationalmuseum. In 1880, he received a scholarship from the in Strömstad and moved to Paris. Jarl Lage Kulle (28 February 1927 – 3 October 1997) was a Swedish film and stage actor and director, and father of Maria Kulle. Kulle was born in the village of Truedstorp, outside Ekeby, Sweden, and was the son of the merchant Nils Kulle and Mia Bergendahl. Kulle was one of the leading Swedish stage actors of his generation and often appeared in TV productions, at the Royal Dramatic Theatre of Stockholm as well as in a number of films, several of these directed by Ingmar Bergman. Taking on many star parts of the classical and modern repertory, appearing in contemporary TV drama and musicals and armed with remarkable gifts for both comedy, romantic drama and slightly declamatory but controlled pathos, he was one of Sweden's most loved modern actors. Hulda Maria Charlotte Kulle (born 26 April 1960) is a Swedish actress. She is the daughter of the actor Jarl Kulle and Louise Hermelin. Kulle studied at Teaterhögskolan i Malmö 1985–88 and after that she works/has worked at Malmö, Stockholm and Helsingborg City Theatre.
