Krzysztof Piątek
Krzysztof Piątek (; born 1 July 1995) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a striker for Qatar Stars League club Al Duhail and the Poland national team. Piątek began his professional career with Ekstraklasa club Zagłębie Lubin. Over the course of four seasons, he scored 15 goals in 72 appearances for the team, before joining Cracovia in 2016, for whom he scored 32 goals across two seasons. In 2018, Piątek signed for Genoa in Italy's Serie A. After 19 goals in 21 competitive games in his first half-season, he transferred to AC Milan in January 2019, before signing for Hertha BSC a year later. He then went on loans to Serie A clubs Fiorentina and Salernitana for the subsequent seasons. The 2017–18 Ekstraklasa (also known as Lotto Ekstraklasa due to its sponsorship by Totalizator Sportowy, Polish lottery) was the 92nd season of the Polish Football Championship, the 84th season of the highest tier domestic division in the Polish football league system since its establishment in 1927 and the 10th season of the Ekstraklasa under its current title. The league was operated by the Ekstraklasa SA. The season started on 14 July 2017 and concluded on 20 May 2018. It is the first Ekstraklasa season to use VAR. The Polish Cup in Association football, football ( ) is an annual Single-elimination tournament, knockout football competition for Polish football club (association football), football clubs, held continuously since 1950, and is the second most important national title in Polish football after the Ekstraklasa title. Due to mass participation of teams, the tournament is often called ''The Cup of the Thousand Teams'' ( ). The 2006–07 Ekstraklasa (also known as Orange Ekstraklasa due to its sponsorship by Orange Polska) started on 28 July 2006 and finished on 26 May 2007. Zagłębie Lubin were crowned champions. 2015–16 Ekstraklasa
The 2015–16 Ekstraklasa was the 82nd season of the highest level of football leagues in Poland since its establishment in 1927. A total of 16 teams were participating, 14 of which competed in the league during the 2014–15 season, while the remaining two were promoted from the I Liga. Each team played a total of 37 matches, half at home and half away. Lech Poznań were the defending champions, having won their 7th title last season. Teams Promotion and relegation as usual was determined by the position in the table from prior season. The bottom two teams were directly relegated to the I Liga, while the top two teams are promoted to the Ekstraklasa. I liga (, ), currently named Betclic I liga due to its sponsorship by Betclic, is the men's second professional association football division of the Polish football league system, below the Ekstraklasa and above the II liga via promotion/relegation systems. Piotr Stokowiec (born 25 May 1972) is a Polish professional football manager and former player who was most recently in charge of Polish club ŁKS Łódź. On 5 March 2018, he became the manager of Lechia Gdańsk. On 21 December 2021, he returned to Zagłębie Lubin, signing a two-and-a-half-year contract with his former club. On 8 November 2022, following five straight league defeats and getting eliminated from the Polish Cup in the round of 32, he was sacked.
