Križ, Komenda
Križ (; ''Leksikon občin kraljestev in dežel zastopanih v državnem zboru,'' vol. 6: ''Kranjsko''. 1906. Vienna: C. Kr. Dvorna in Državna Tiskarna, p. 26.) is a village in the Municipality of Komenda in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. Castle Križ Castle () or Križ Manor ()Ostanki graščine na Križu used to stand on a small hill above the settlement. It was built in the second half of the 16th century. In 1918, Križ Castle was owned by the Austrian aristocrat Baron Otto von Apfaltrern. The castle was burned down and demolished by the Yugoslav Partisans, Partisans in November 1943. The national flag of Slovenia () features three equal horizontal bands of white (top), blue, and red, with the coat of arms of Slovenia located in the upper hoist side of the flag centred in the white and blue bands.
