Krisztofer Mészáros
Krisztofer Mészáros (born 5 September 2001) is a Hungarian artistic gymnast. He is the 2025 European all-around bronze medalist. At the 2022 European Championships, he won the silver medal on floor exercise and was Hungary's first European silver medalist on that apparatus. He won a bronze medal with the Hungarian team at the 2020 European Championships. He represented Hungary at the 2024 Summer Olympics, where he finished 9th in the individual all-around final. Gymnastics career Mészáros followed his sister into gymnastics, and he was inspired by watching Krisztián Berki win Olympic gold in 2012. Junior Mészáros finished eighth with the Hungarian team at the 2016 European Junior Championships. At the 2017 European Youth Olympic Festival, he finished eighth in the floor exercise final and 24th in the all-around. The 2022 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships were held in Liverpool, United Kingdom at the Liverpool Arena, from 29 October to 6 November 2022. The United Kingdom previously hosted this event in 1993 (Birmingham), 2009 (London) and 2015 (Glasgow). The championships is a qualification event for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Artem Olegovich Dolgopyat (; ; born 16 June 1997) is a Ukrainian-born Israeli artistic gymnast who specializes in the floor exercise. He is the 2020 Olympic champion and the 2023 World champion in the floor exercise. He also won two silver medals at the 2017 and 2019 World Championships in the floor exercise, and is the 2020 and 2022 European champion of that exercise. The 2021 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships were held in Kitakyushu, Japan from October 18–24, 2021. The competition took place at the Kitakyushu City General Gymnasium. It was the third time that Japan hosted the event, following the 1995 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, 1995 and 2011 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, 2011 editions. The competition was originally scheduled to be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, before the Danish Gymnastics Federation withdrew from hosting in July 2020. In November 2020, the International Gymnastics Federation, Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique announced Kitakyushu as the replacement host city for the same dates. The 2019 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships was held in Stuttgart, Germany from October 4–13, 2019. The championships took place at the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle, and was the third time the city of Stuttgart hosted the event following the 1989 and 2007 editions, and the fifth time Germany hosted it.
