Kristin Roers (born March 24, 1977) is an American politician. She is a member of the North Dakota State Senate from the 27th District, elected in 2018. She is a member of the Republican party. Education and career Kristin Roers was born March 24, 1977, in Lyon County, Minnesota. Lyon County, Minnesota
Lyon County is a county in the U.S. state of Minnesota. As of the 2020 census, the population was 25,269. Its county seat is Marshall. Lyon County comprises the Marshall, MN Micropolitan Statistical Area. History The county was established by two acts of the Minnesota state legislature, dated March 6, 1868, and March 2, 1869. The county seat was designated as Marshall. The county was named for Nathaniel Lyon, an Army officer who served in the Dakota and Minnesota territories before being killed in the Civil War in 1861. He had achieved the rank of general by his death. The county was much larger until an act passed on March 6, 1873, made the western 43% the new Lincoln County. James P. "Jim" Roers is an American politician and businessman who was a member of the North Dakota Senate from the 46th district. He assumed office on December 1, 2016. Early life and education Roers was born in Alexandria, Minnesota and raised in Fargo, North Dakota. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture from North Dakota State University. Career Roers is the president of Roers Development, a property development company. He was appointed to the North Dakota Senate in April 2012, succeeding Tom Fischer, and served until December 2012.
