Kristaq Antoniu
Kristaq Antoniu (; 25 December 1907 – 17 March 1979), also known as Cristache Antoniu (), was an Albanian-Romanian operetta tenor, baritone, and actor. He was a People's Artist of the People's Republic of Albania. Biography Born in Bucharest, the capital of Romania, to an ethnic Albanian family, he lived in Romania, graduating from the Mimic Drama College of Bucharest and the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. He acquired much of his celebrity by acting in Romanian cinema roles during the late 1920s and early 1930s. As a concert master and operetta singer, he toured Europe with a group of musicians. He settled in Albania in 1935, and started to expand on his artistic reputation, being widely esteemed for his accomplished interpretation of classical arias and folk songs. Kristaq Dhamo
Kristaq Dhamo (20 April 1933 – 14 August 2022) was an Albanian film director. In 1979 he was awarded the title of " Merited Artist" and in 1987 he was honored with the title of People's Artist of Albania medal. At the 11th Albanian Film Festival in 2000, he was honored with the Career Award. One of his famous quotes was: “A society with a film industry is a society that can develop.” (“Një shoqëri me industri filmi, është një shoqëri që mund të zhvillohet”.) He graduated from the Higher Institute of Cinematography in Budapest, Hungary. After his studies, he began working at the Film Studio-"Shqipëria e Re". Kristaq Paspali (19 May 1926 – 2001) was an Albanian operatic tenor. Early life Paspali was born in 1926 in Vlorë. When he was still very young, he had to leave school because of economic hardship during the Italian occupation of Albania, but he earned his living by selling goods to the Italian soldiers. During 1943 he joined the Albanian army in order to fight for his country's freedom. At the end of 1944 he joined one of the amateur bands of his division. Soon after, he moved to Durrës, where he began working as a driver in the port, but continued to perform with amateur groups.
