A side platform (also known as a marginal platform or a single-face platform) is a platform positioned to the side of one or more railway tracks or guideways at a railway station, tram stop, or transitway. Bangarapet or Bangāra pete is a town in Kolar district in the state of Karnataka, India. Bangarapet is the headquarters of the taluk of Bangarapet. Bangarapet was originally called Bowringpet, named after an officer working in the Kolar Gold Fields. This town came into existence as the connecting point of traffic between the gold fields. Telugu is largely spoken in Bangarapet. During the Karnataka state formation there was 54% Telugu population. Yesvantpur Railway Station
Yashavantapura (formerly Yeshwanthpur), also known as Yeshvantpur, is a locality in the northwestern part of Bangalore in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is located to the north of Malleshwara and west of Hebbala. The biggest wholesale market for agricultural produce in the city, the Yeshwanthpur APMC Yard, is situated in the locality.
