Kris Cox
Kris Cox (born October 22, 1973) is an American professional golfer. Cox was born in Lafayette, Louisiana. He played college golf at Oklahoma State University where he was a three-time All-American. He won three events at OSU, including the 1996 Big Eight Conference Championship. His team also won the 1995 NCAA Championship. Also as an amateur, Cox was a semi-finalist in 1994 U.S. Amateur and played on the 1995 Walker Cup team. Cox turned professional in 1996. He played on Nationwide Tour in 1999, 2000, 2005, 2007, and 2009, winning once at the 2005 Permian Basin Charity Golf Classic. He played on the PGA Tour in 2004, 2006, and 2007 where his best finish was T-3 at the 2006 FedEx St. Jude Classic. Lafayette (, ) is a city in the U.S. state of Louisiana, and the most populous city and parish seat of Lafayette Parish, located along the Vermilion River. Chris Tidland
Christopher Lee Tidland (born September 28, 1972) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the Web.com Tour. Tidland was born in Torrance, California. He attended Oklahoma State University, and graduated in 1995 with a management degree. He led his team to the 1995 NCAA Division I Men's Championship and finished second in the individual tournament. Tidland turned professional after graduating. He played on the Nationwide Tour in 1996, 1999, 2002–06, and 2008-09 where he won two events - the 2008 Albertsons Boise Open and the 2009 Preferred Health Systems Wichita Open. Tidland played on the PGA Tour in 2001 and 2007 with his best finish a T-6 at the 2007 AT&T Classic. He was unable to finish high enough on the money list to retain his Tour card either year. 1995 Walker Cup
The 1995 Walker Cup, the 35th Walker Cup Match, was a team golf match played on 9 and 10 September 1995, at Royal Porthcawl Golf Club in Porthcawl, Wales. The event was won by the Great Britain and Ireland team 14 to 10. Format The format for play on Saturday and Sunday was the same. There were four matches of foursomes in the morning and eight singles matches in the afternoon. In all, 24 matches were played. Each of the 24 matches is worth one point in the larger team competition. If a match is all square after the 18th hole extra holes are not played. Rather, each side earns ½ a point toward their team total. The team that accumulates at least 12 ½ points wins the competition. If the two teams are tied, the previous winner retains the trophy.
