Kraków II is a Polish parliamentary constituency in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. It elects fourteen members of the Sejm. The district has the number '13' and is named after the city of Kraków. The Sejm (), officially known as the Sejm of the Republic of Poland (), is the lower house of the bicameral parliament of Poland. The Sejm has been the highest governing body of the Third Polish Republic since the transition of government in 1989. Along with the upper house of parliament, the Senate, it forms the national legislature in Poland known as National Assembly (). The Sejm comprises 460 deputies (singular or ) elected every four years by universal ballot. The Sejm is presided over by a speaker, the "Marshal of the Sejm" (). In the Kingdom of Poland, the term ''Sejm'' referred to an entire two- chamber parliament, comprising the Chamber of Deputies (), the Senate and the King. It was thus a three-estate parliament. The 1573 Henrician Articles strengthened the assembly's jurisdiction, making Poland a constitutional elective monarchy. Konrad Berkowicz
Konrad Szczepan Berkowicz (born 27 May 1984 in Kraków) is a Polish politician. He has been a vice-chairman of KORWiN since 2015. He is a deputy in the Sejm since 2019. In 2019, he was elected to the Sejm, starting from the Confederation Freedom and Independence list in the Kraków II (parliamentary constituency), Kraków II constituency. He was a candidate in the 2019–20 Confederation presidential primary. In the 2023 elections, he successfully ran for parliamentary re-election (with 36,918 votes). In the 10th term of the Sejm, he became, among other things, vice-chairman of the Senior Policy Commission. In 2024, he again ran unsuccessfully for mayor of Krakow. The Polish People's Party (, PSL) is a conservative political party in Poland. It is currently led by Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. Its history traces back to 1895, when it held the name People's Party, although its name was changed to the present one in 1903. During the Second Polish Republic, the Polish People's Party was represented by a number of parties that held its name. Daria Iwona Gosek-Popiołek (born 16 April 1985) is a Polish politician, activist and manager of arts. She is a member of The Left parliamentary group and has served as Member of Sejm since 2019. Biography Gosek-Popiołek was born in Sosnowiec, where she attended high school before moving to Kraków for university. In 2009 she graduated from the Jagiellonian University with a degree in Theatre arts, and also studied philosophy.
