Kostomłoty, Lower Silesian Voivodeship
Kostomłoty is a village (former city) in Środa Śląska County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It is the seat of the administrative district (gmina) called Gmina Kostomłoty. Administrative division In 1954–1972, the village belonged to and was the seat of the Kostomłoty Gromada. In the years 1975-1998 it administratively belonged to the Wrocław Voivodeship. Location It lies approximately south of Środa Śląska and west of the regional capital Wrocław, on the Kostomłoty plain. About a kilometre from the village there lies the junction of the A4 autostrada with the National road 5. The 274 railway line runs to the south-west of Kostomłoty, the nearest station is located to the east, in Kąty Wrocławskie. __NOTOC__ Gmina Kostomłoty is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Środa Śląska County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. Its seat is the village of Kostomłoty, which lies approximately south of Środa Śląska and west of the regional capital Wrocław. It is part of the larger Wrocław metropolitan area. Demographics In 2021 the population of the gmina was 6996 individuals, out of which 3473 were men and 3523 were women. Since the 2011 Polish census the population has decreased by about 2.3%. The unemployment rate in the gmina is 4.4%. The amount of seniors is about 19.9%, which is slightly lower than the average for Poland. The gmina has a very low amount of foreigners: less than 1% of the population is of a different citizenship than Polish, and about a percent has been born outside of Poland. Kostomłoty, Lublin Voivodeship
Kostomłoty is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Kodeń, within Biała Podlaska County, Lublin Voivodeship, in eastern Poland, close to the border with Belarus. It lies approximately south of Terespol on the border with Belarus. First written mention of the settlement comes from 1412 when the village was offered to the Augustinian Order from nearby Brest by the Lithuanian Grand Duke Vytautas. During 16th century the Order sold it to the Sapieha noble family from nearby Kodeń. In 1631 the Eastern Rite parish of St. Nicetas the Martyr was established, which accepted the Union of Brest of 1596 at some time during the 17th century, thus restoring communion the successor of St. Peter.
