Konstantin Pantelić
Konstantin Pantelić (Serbian Cyrillic: Константин Пантелић, 1802–1882) was a Serbian portraitist, icon painter, and monk of the Serbian Orthodox Church. He painted many icons, especially for iconostasis, as well as frescos for churches throughout Srem, Banat and Bačka. Biography Konstantin Pantelić's antecedents originally came from Ruma in the Srem district of the Serbian autonomous province of Vojvodina. He was born in 1802 in his ancestral town of Ruma, where he attended school. His very first art lessons were from his father Jovan, a lesser-known artist, who also painted icons for the iconostasis. Pantelić became progressively interested in painting while still attending grammar school. He also spent a period of time at the ''Atelier'' of Arsenije Teodorović, and that of Stefan Gavrilović. Serbian Language
Serbian (, ) is the standard language, standardized Variety (linguistics)#Standard varieties, variety of the Serbo-Croatian language mainly used by Serbs. Pavel Đurković
Pavle or Pavel Đurković (1772 – 1830) was a Serbian painter, portraitist and iconographer who distinguished himself in the iconography of monasteries and portraits of great personalities (mostly Serbs). His greatest work was the iconostasis of the church in Vršac and Bela Crkva from around 1792. Đurković "icon painter from Buda", because from 1793. he painted icons on the iconostasis of the White Church of Saint Peter and Paul. Biography Đurković was born in Baja, Kingdom of Hungary. Čerević () is a village in Serbia. It is situated in the Beočin municipality, in the Vojvodina province. Although, the village is geographically located in Syrmia, it is part of the South Bačka District. The village has a Serb ethnic majority and its population numbers 2,798 people (2011 census). Nikola Aleksić
Nikola Aleksić (1808 – 1 January 1873) was a Serbian artist. He was under the influence of the painting styles of the Nazarene movement and Biedermeier. Biography He came from a family of artists in Stari Bečej. He was taught painting at the studio of Arsenije Teodorović of Novi Sad until 1826. Then, he went to Vienna and enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts (1828–1830). Later, he traveled to Italy to broaden his art education. There he honed his craft for three years, getting to know the art of the Nazarene movement, and making a living from portrait painting. He also copied old masters in the city's galleries and painted portraits of Austrian officers of Serbian descent. In 1834 he left Italy for Novi Sad, then he went to Sremski Karlovci, where he made a portrait of Metropolitan Stefan Stratimirović. Konstantin Danil
Konstantin Danil ( sr-Cyrl, Константин Данил, ; 1798–1873) was a Serbian painter of the 19th century. He is most famous for his portraits and religious painting. Danil is considered to be the most important Serbian painter of Biedermeier. Biography According to Felix Kanitz he was born to a Serbian family as Danilo Petrović. Other sources state that his origin and birthplace is unclear. He was born either in Lugoj or Ečka. At the age of thirteen he left Lugoj for Timișoara, where he executed a drawing which procured his admission to the school of Arsenije Teodorović. Teodorović was a principal of a drawing school, and through it he influenced a whole new generation of younger artists, including a few that rivaled him. One of them was Konstantin Danil.
