The Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (; MUK) in Vienna, Austria, is a university of music and the arts. It was previously (2005−2015) named (KONSuni, Konservatorium Wien University), and before that (Conservatory of Vienna). It was established in 1938 as '. The school attained university status on 15 June 2005, as a private institution. The university also houses a location of the Viennese café Vollpension. Joe Zawinul
Josef Erich Zawinul ( '; 7 July 1932 – 11 September 2007) was an Austrian jazz and jazz fusion keyboardist and composer. First coming to prominence with saxophonist Cannonball Adderley, Zawinul went on to play with Miles Davis and to become one of the creators of jazz fusion, a musical genre that combined jazz with rock. He co-founded the groups Weather Report and The Zawinul Syndicate. He pioneered the use of electric piano and synthesizer, and was named "Best Electric Keyboardist" twenty-eight times by the readers of ''DownBeat'' magazine. Johannes Pietsch (; born 29 April 2001), also known by his stage name JJ, is an Austrian singer-songwriter. He won the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 for Austria with the song " Wasted Love". Early life Pietsch was born on 29 April 2001 in Vienna to an Austrian IT specialist and a Filipina cook. He spent the majority of his childhood in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where he was introduced to both pop through karaoke parties with his family and opera through his father. Weather Report was an American jazz fusion band active from 1970 to 1986. The band was founded in 1970 by Austrian keyboardist Joe Zawinul, American saxophonist Wayne Shorter, Czech bassist Miroslav Vitouš, American drummer Alphonse Mouzon as well as American percussionists Don Alias and Barbara Burton.
