Henry Koning
Henry Arthur Koning (born 29 June 1960 in Zaandam) is a sailor from the Netherlands, who represented his country at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Pusan. With Hans Schelling as crew, Koning took the 15th place in the Flying Dutchman. Koning represented Bonaire during the 2008 Vintage Yachting Games in Medemblik in the Flying Dutchman with Rob Taal as crew. The team made 4th place. In the 2012 Koning and Taal returned to the Vintage Yachting Games in Lake Como also for Bonaire. They finished again 4th. Coen De Koning
Coen de Koning (30 March 1879 – 29 July 1954) was a speed skater and cyclist. He started his sports career as a cyclist, but switched to speed skating and became the second Dutch speed skater to win a world title, in 1905. He finished second in 500 m, and won the 1500, 5000 and 10,000 m events. De Koning won the national all-around title in 1903, 1905 and 1912, and set national records in the 500 m and 10,000 m in 1905; these records stood until 1926 and 1929. De Koning also set a world record in one-hour skating, at 32,370 m in 1906, and won the Elfstedentocht in 1912 and 1917. Family De Koning came from a speed skating family. His brother Jacobus "Sjaak" Petrus de Koning won the national all-around title in 1914. Theo Koning (born 1950 in the Netherlands) was a Western Australian painter, sculptor, printmaker and art teacher, who for a time exhibited with the Galerie Dusseldorf in Perth. Koning immigrated to Western Australia in 1953 at the age of three, and graduated in fine art at the Claremont Technical School in 1973, in the same year becoming one of the founding members of the Western Australian Sculptors' Association. Philips Koninck
Philips Koninck (5 November 1619 – 4 October 1688), also spelled Philip de Koninck, was a Dutch landscape painter and younger brother of Jacob Koninck. Koninck was the son of the jeweler Aert Koninck. He was married twice; in 1641 with Cornelia, a sister of Abraham Furnerius, living in Rotterdam, and in 1657 with Margaretha van Rhijn from Amsterdam. Philip studied painting under his brother Jacob in Rotterdam. After his second marriage he moved to Amsterdam. According to the Dutch writer on art Arnold Houbraken, Koninck completed his training in Rembrandt’s studio in Amsterdam. Martine Diederik Wittop Koning (10 January 1870 – 29 July 1963) was a Dutch nutritionist, vegetarianism activist and cookbook writer. She was a pioneer of domestic science in the Netherlands. Biography Martine Konging was born in Goch to Dirk Arnold Wittop Koning (1845–1909) and Martina Susanna Everdina de Moulin (1846–1928). She moved to Amsterdam with her parents and four younger brothers at age 14. In 1891, she attended Amsterdamsche Huishoudschool, a domestic science school on Amsterdam's Prinsengracht and passed her cooking school teacher exam in 1893. In 1895, she moved with the school to its new building on the Zandpad opposite Vondelpark where she was a resident cooking and nutrition teacher.
