Kollektiv Turmstraße
Kollektiv Turmstraße is a German musical project. Originally established as a duo by Nico Plagemann and Christian Hilscher in 1998, in Hamburg, it released tracks on various compilation albums before producing their own album ''Verrückte Welt'' in 2006. This was followed by ''Rebellion der Träumer'' in 2010. The musical style can be broadly labeled as minimal techno Minimal techno is a subgenre of techno music. It is characterized by a stripped-down aesthetic that exploits the use of repetition and understated development. Minimal techno is thought to have been originally developed in the early 1990s by Detro .... It has performed at such festivals as Melt, Homerun, Off Week and Distortion. In 2023, the group announced Christian Hilscher’s departure. Minimal techno is a subgenre of techno music. It is characterized by a stripped-down aesthetic that exploits the use of repetition and understated development. Nico Plagemann
Christa Päffgen (; 16 October 1938 – 18 July 1988), known by her stage name Nico, was a German singer, songwriter, actress, and model. Nico had roles in several films, including Federico Fellini's ''La Dolce Vita'' (1960) and Andy Warhol's ''Chelsea Girls'' (1966). At the insistence of Warhol, she sang lead on three songs of the Velvet Underground's debut album ''The Velvet Underground & Nico'' (1967). At the same time, she started a solo career and released '' Chelsea Girl'' (1967). Her friend Jim Morrison suggested that she start writing her own material. She then composed songs on a harmonium, not traditionally a Rock music, rock instrument. John Cale of the Velvet Underground became her musical arranger and produced ''The Marble Index'' (1968), ''Desertshore'' (1970), ''The End...'' (1974) and other subsequent albums.
