Kolbjørn Lyslo
Kolbjørn Lyslo (born 1975) is a Norwegian musician from Tromsø, Norway, although he moved to Oslo in 1994. He produces house music under the name of Doc L Junior (short for Doctor Lyslo Junior). He is a former member of band Aedena Cycle, and he has released several 12" records under the UK label Music for Freaks. Kolbjørn has also released one single with Bjørn Torske Bjørn Torske (born 1971 in Tromsø, Norway) is a house music producer. He became involved with producing music and local radio before moving to Bergen, Norway. House Music
House is a genre of electronic dance music characterized by a repetitive Four on the floor (music), four-on-the-floor beat and a typical tempo of 115–130 beats per minute. It was created by DJs and music producers from Chicago's underground Clubbing (subculture), club culture and evolved slowly in the early/mid 1980s as DJs began altering disco songs to give them a more mechanical beat. By early 1988, house became mainstream and supplanted the typical 80s music beat. House was created and pioneered by DJs and producers in Chicago such as Frankie Knuckles, Ron Hardy, Jesse Saunders, Chip E., Joe Smooth, Steve "Silk" Hurley, Farley "Jackmaster" Funk, Marshall Jefferson, Phuture, and others. Aedena Cycle
Aedena Cycle is a former Norwegian electronic music group from Tromsø, composed of Torbjørn Brundtland and Svein Berge (from Röyksopp), Kolbjørn Lyslo and Gaute Barlindhaug. The quartet released an EP called "The Travellers' Dream EP" on R&S/Apollo in 1994. This was the first official release involving Berge and Brundtland, who later formed the world-renowned group Röyksopp. After this, Aedena Cycle was a solo project, with only Barlindhaug left from the original line up. Barlindhaug released two albums on Beatservice Records as Aedena Cycle. The album "Albite" came out in 1997 and "Cargo Cult" was released in 1999. In 2001 Barlindhaug had to change the artist name from Aedena Cycle to Kolar Goi because the creator of the American graphic novel The Aedena Cycle had the copyright to the name. Röyksopp () a Norwegian electronic music duo from Tromsø formed in 1998. The duo consists of childhood friends Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland who formed Röyksopp during the Bergen Wave. After experimenting with different Electronic Music Genres, genres of electronic music, the band solidified their place in the electronica scene with their 2001 debut album, ''Melody A.M.'', released on the Wall of Sound (record label), Wall of Sound record label. Röyksopp has consistently experimented with various genres pertaining to electronic music.
