Arnie Kogen
Arnie Kogen is an American comedy writer and producer. He has written for TV, film, and is a longtime writer for ''Mad Magazine''. Among his hundreds of ''Mad'' bylines, Kogen has written more than 100 film or television parodies. Born in Brooklyn, New York City, New York (state), New York, to Jewish parents, Kogen contributed to ''Mad'' soon after college at New York University. He wrote for many of the top stand-up comics of that time including Don Adams, Morty Gunty, and Jan Murray. He moved on to writing for ''Candid Camera'', ''Les Crane, The Les Crane Show'', ''The Jackie Gleason Show'' and ''The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson''. In 1965 he co-wrote the feature film ''Birds Do It'', starring Soupy Sales. He moved to California with his family in 1968. Jay Kogen
Jay Kogen is an American comedy writer, producer, actor and director. Biography He was born to a Jewish family. His father is comedy writer Arnie Kogen. In 2001, Kogen had a son, Charlie, who is now a musician. Career Kogen co-wrote several episodes of '' The Tracey Ullman Show'' and ''The Simpsons'' along with former writing partner Wallace Wolodarsky. Since then, he has written for several shows, including an Emmy Award winning stint at ''Frasier'', ''Everybody Loves Raymond'', '' George Lopez'', and ''Malcolm in the Middle''. Kogen also made an appearance in '' The Aristocrats''. He was a consulting producer on '' The Class'', co-writer of the Dave Foley/ David Anthony Higgins 1997 film '' The Wrong Guy'', as well as being a former stand-up comedian. Emperor Kōgen
, also known as was the eighth legendary emperor of Japan, according to the traditional order of succession. Very little is known about this Emperor due to a lack of material available for further verification and study. Kōgen is known as a "legendary emperor" among historians as his actual existence is disputed. Nothing exists in the ''Kojiki'' other than his name and genealogy. Kōgen's reign allegedly began in 214 BC, he had one wife and two consorts whom he fathered six children with. After his death in 158 BC, one of his sons supposedly became Emperor Kaika. Legendary narrative In the ''Kojiki'' and ''Nihon Shoki'', only Kōgen's name and genealogy were recorded. The Japanese have traditionally accepted this sovereign's historical existence, and an Imperial ''misasagi'' or tomb for Kōgen is currently maintained; however, no extant contemporary records have been discovered that confirm a view that this historical figure actually reigned.
