Kobeliaky Raion
Kobeliaky Raion (; Romanization of Ukrainian, translit.: ''Kobeliats'kyi Raion'') was a raion (district) in Poltava Oblast in central Ukraine. The raion's Capital (political), administrative center was the city of Kobeliaky. The raion was abolished and its territory was merged into Poltava Raion on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Poltava Oblast to four. The last estimate of the raion population was Important rivers within the Kobeliatskyi Raion included the Dnieper River, Dnieper and the Vorskla River, Vorskla. The raion was established on March 7, 1923. At the time of disestablishment, the raion consisted of two hromadas: * Bilyky settlement hromada with the administration in the urban-type settlement of Bilyky; * Kobeliaky urban hromada with the administration in Kobeliaky. A raion (; ), often translated as district, is the second-level Administrative divisions of Ukraine, administrative division in Ukraine. Raions were created in a 1922 administrative reform of the Soviet Union, to which Ukraine, as the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, belonged. On 17 July 2020, the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine's parliament) approved an administrative reform to merge most of the 490 raions, along with the "City of regional significance (Ukraine), cities of regional significance", which were previously outside the raions, into just 136 reformed raions.
