Knut Mørkved
Knut Mørkved (29 March 1938 – 10 November 2017) was a Norwegian diplomat. He hailed from Steinkjer as a son of county forest manager Karl Mørkved and grandson of Lorents Mørkved. He took the mag.art. degree in political science and started working for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1967. His early diplomatic stations were in Brussels, Cairo and at the UN in New York City. From 1976 to 1980 he served as the secretary of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs. He served as Norway's ambassador to the Philippines from 1983 to 1987 and Egypt from 1988 to 1992, and after a stint as a special adviser in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1992 to 1996 he served as ambassador to Croatia from 1997 to 2001 before retiring. Steinkjer (town)
or is the administrative centre of Steinkjer Municipality and Trøndelag county in Norway. The List of towns and cities in Norway, town is located at the northeastern end of the inner-most part of the Trondheimsfjorden, at the mouth of the river Steinkjerelva. In the eastern part of the town, the river of Figgja also flows into the fjord. The town is split in two by the river Steinkjerelva, creating the two traditional neighborhoods of Nordsia and Sørsia. Both the European route E6 highway and the Nordlandsbanen railway line run through the town, the latter serving the city at Steinkjer Station. Steinkjer Church and Egge Church are both located in the town. Prior to 1 January 2018, the town was also the administrative centre of Nord-Trøndelag county, and since that day it has been the seat of the newly created Trøndelag county. Bærum () is a municipality in the Greater Oslo Region in Akershus County, Norway. It forms an affluent suburb of Oslo on the west coast of the city.
