Klondike is an unincorporated residential and agricultural community in the town of Brighton, in Kenosha County, Wisconsin, United States. History Klondike was first settled in the 19th century and was formerly known as "Klondike Corner". It is centered at Highway 75 and 52nd Street (Kenosha County Highway NN). The Union League Camp facility, which houses an Army Reserve enrichment program, is located on 244th Avenue at 52nd Street in Klondike. Hammer And Sickle
The hammer and sickle (Unicode: ) is a communist symbol representing proletarian solidarity between industrial and agricultural workers. It was first adopted during the Russian Revolution at the end of World War I, the hammer representing workers and the sickle representing the peasants. After World War I (from which Russia withdrew in 1917) and the Russian Civil War, the hammer and sickle became more widely used as a symbol for labor within the Soviet Union (USSR) and for international proletarian unity. It was taken up by many communist movements around the world, some with local variations. "The Internationale" is an international anthem that has been adopted as the anthem of various anarchist, communist, socialist, democratic socialist, and social democratic movements. It has been a standard of the socialist movement since the late nineteenth century, when the Second International adopted it as its official anthem. State Trunk Highway 75 (often called Highway 75, STH-75 or WIS 75) is a former state highway in the southeastern part of U.S. state of Wisconsin. The highway ran from WIS 50 and WIS 83 in Paddock Lake north to WSI 20 east of Waterford. WIS 75 serves Kenosha and Racine counties. The highway was maintained by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), and it is now signed as County Trunk Highway BD (CTH-BD) by Racine and Kenosha counties.
