Orpha Klinker
Orpha Mae Klinker (November 20, 1891 – May 23, 1964) was an American artist well known for her California ''plein air'' landscape paintings and etchings as well as her portraiture and early California historic sites. She was also an active illustrator and graphic designer. Klinker was recognized for her series of historical and pioneer paintings. She painted a series of portraits of notable Californians and memorialized many historic early California structures on canvas. On October 14, 1963, she was awarded a resolution by the City Council of Los Angeles, recognizing her outstanding professional skill and appreciation for the many honors she has brought to the city. The commendatory scroll praised Klinker for her role as an oil painter and mentioned many of her portrait subjects such as General John C. Lewis William Klinker
Lewis William (L.W.) Klinker (August 12, 1867 – July 5, 1946) was a prominent businessman, author, lecturer and public figure in Los Angeles, California, in the early part of the 1900s. He became known in the fields of ministry, hydraulic gold mining and real estate during the period of the rapid growth of the city of Los Angeles where he made his home for 41 years. Life Klinker, a native of Mahaska County, Iowa, and graduate of Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, was an ordained minister in the Christian Church. He held pastorates in three states in his native Iowa, Kansas and California. While living in Southern California, Klinker organized and helped establish three Christian Churches (Disciples of Christ). The Rev. L.W. Sheila Klinker
Sheila Ann Klinker (born December 20, 1938) is a Democratic politician who is currently a member of the Indiana House of Representatives, representing House District 27 since 1982. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Klinker graduated from Purdue University with her Bachelor of Education in elementary education in 1961. Klinker later received her Master of Science from Purdue in 1970. Klinker worked her entire teaching career for the Lafayette School Corporation. She began her teaching career in 1961 at Klondike Elementary School in West Lafayette, Indiana while also teaching at Edgelea Elementary School. Eric Klinker
Eric Klinker is an American technology executive and is best known as the former CEO of BitTorrent. Along with Bram Cohen and three other venture capitalists, he is also on the board of governors of BitTorrent. He was instrumental in formulating BitTorrent's position on network neutrality, testifying before the FCC as well as other worldwide telecom regulators. As CEO, he is credited with guiding BitTorrent through the 2008 financial crisis and growing the user base to over 170m users. In 2012, BitTorrent expanded its mission under Klinker and broadened the product portfolio, introducing additional distributed applications like BitTorrent Sync, BitTorrent Bundles, Bleep, and BitTorrent Live, a linear broadcasting P2P protocol also invented by Bram Cohen.
