Kjøllefjord
, , or is the administrative centre of Lebesby Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. The village is located on the northwestern part of the Nordkinn Peninsula, on the shore of a small fjord which empties into the larger Laksefjorden. The village has a population (2023) of 836, which gives the village a population density of and makes it the largest village in the municipality and one of the largest fishing villages in Finnmark county. The Hurtigruten coastal express boat has regular stops at Kjøllefjord. Kjøllefjord Church is located in the village. One of the largest fish processing and fishing companies in Kjøllefjord is a branch of Aker Seafoods. Another large company is Laksefjord Seafood AS. Kjøllefjord Airport
Kjøllefjord Airfield () is a disused general aviation airport (airfield) located at Kjøllefjord in Lebesby Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. It consisted of a gravel runway and a simple small building as a terminal. Plans for an airport in Kjøllefjord were first launched in the mid-1960s. The Norving airline was the main proponent as they intended to operate an air taxi and air ambulance service. Construction started in 1973 and the airport opened in 1974. In that same year, another nearby airport opened; the larger Mehamn Airport is only 30 kilometers away and Kjøllefjord therefore was little used. It was abandoned in the 1980s. Kjøllefjord Church
Kjøllefjord Church () is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Lebesby Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. It is located in the village of Kjøllefjord. It is one of the churches in the Lebesby parish which is part of the Hammerfest prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The white, stone church was built in a Churches in Norway#Floor plan, long church style in 1951 using plans drawn up by the architect Finn Bryn (1890-1975). The church seats about 300 people. History The first church in Kjøllefjord was built around the year 1670 after the medieval Skjøtningberg Church was closed. Mehamn Airport (; ) is a regional airport serving the village of Mehamn in Gamvik Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. It also serves the villages Kjøllefjord and Gamvik. The airport is outside of the village of Mehamn and is owned and operated by the state-owned Avinor. The tower is remotely controlled from Bodø. The asphalt runway is . Services are operated by Widerøe using Dash 8-100 aircraft which connect to other communities in Finnmark, and the city of Tromsø. The routes are subsidized by the Ministry of Transport and Communications through public service obligations. Both the villages of Gamvik and Kjøllefjord were considered as alternative locations for the airport, and both received smaller airfields before Mehamn Airport opened in 1974. ''Hurtigruten'' (), formally Kystruten Bergen-Kirkenes ("coastal route Bergen-Kirkenes"), is a Norwegian public coastal route transporting passengers that travel locally, regionally, and between the ports of call, and also cargo between ports north of Tromsø. Kirkenes Airport (; ) is an international airport located at Høybuktmoen, west of the town of Kirkenes, in Sør-Varanger Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. Operated by the state-owned Avinor, the airport has a single asphalt runway numbered 05-23. Scandinavian Airlines and Norwegian Air Shuttle operate Boeing 737-services to Oslo Airport, Gardermoen, in part generated by Høybuktmoen's function as a hub for Widerøe's regional services to other airports in eastern Finnmark. Hammerfest Airport (; ) is a regional airport at Prærien just outside the town of Hammerfest in Hammerfest Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway.
