Haigslea is a Suburbs and localities (Australia), locality split between the City of Ipswich and the Somerset Region in South East Queensland, South East Queensland, Australia. In the , Haigslea had a population of 507 people. History The area was originally called ''Kirchheim'' by the many German people who settled there as immigrants between 1865 and 1873. It was renamed ''Haigslea'' due to anti-German sentiment during the World War I, First World War. The locality is named after Douglas Haig, 1st Earl Haig, General Douglas Haig. He served in India in 1887. He was appointed as the regiment's adjutant in 1888, and appointed as Commander-in-chief of the British Army in France from 1915 to 1918. Geography Location The municipality lies in the northwest of the Rhine-Neckar urban agglomeration. It sits at an elevation of just under 150 m above sea level near the north end of the German Wine Route. Cerkno (; ; ) is a small town in the Littoral region of Slovenia. It has around 2,000 inhabitants and is the administrative centre of the Cerkno Hills. It is the seat of the Municipality of Cerkno. Kirchheimbolanden is the capital and the second largest city of the Donnersbergkreis, in Rhineland-Palatinate. Situated in south-western Germany, it is approximately 25 km west of Worms, Germany, Worms, and 30 km north-east of Kaiserslautern. The first part of the name, ''Kirchheim'', dates back to 774. Schloss Kirchheim is a castle and palace in the old town of Kirchheim unter Teck, in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The palace was built in the 16th century by Ulrich, Duke of Württemberg as a castle and part of a greater system of defensive works. Over two centuries later, it became the dower house for the Duchy and later Kingdom of Württemberg. The palace's interior is currently arranged and furnished as it was during the residence of its final dowager, Henriette von Nassau-Weilburg.
