Edmond Kiraz
Edmond Kiraz, born Kirazian (25 August 1923 – 11 August 2020) was an Egyptian-born French-Armenian cartoonist, painter, and illustrator. Biography Edmond Kirazian (or Kirazyan) was born on 25 August 1923 in Cairo, and was of Armenian descent. He was named after French writer Edmond Rostand. Kiraz started painting from an early age, and had apprenticed under Armenian artist Ashot Zorian. Kiraz began his career as a political cartoonist at age 17 (without formal artistic training) in Egypt. Kiraz later studied at the Nubarian National College in Cairo. He emigrated post-World War II to Paris. In 1950 he created the comic strip, ''Line''. In 1959, while he was working for the French magazine '' Jours de France'', his boss, Marcel Dassault, had him move from politics to humor. Ferhat Kiraz
Ferhat Kiraz (born 2 January 1989) is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as a left winger. Kiraz is also a youth international, capped at the U-17, U-18, U-19, and U-21 levels. Early life and club career Kiraz was born 2 January 1989 in the town of Bozkır in Konya Province. The same year he was born, his father moved to Austria for work. His father visits Kiraz and the rest of his family twice a year. He has a younger brother, Yusuf, a right back currently playing for Hacettepe. Kiraz began his career with local club Konya Demirspor. George Kiraz
George Anton Kiraz (; born 1965) is a Syriac scholar, best known for his contribution to modern Syriac studies. Early life George Kiraz was born in Bethlehem to a Syriac Orthodox merchant family which traces its roots back to Elazığ in Anatolia. He learned Syriac at the Monastery of Saint Mark, Jerusalem. In 1983 he emigrated with his family to the United States where they settled in Los Angeles. Ümmü Kiraz (born September 27, 1982, in Acıpayam, Denizli Province, Turkey) is a Turkish female long-distance runner, who specializes in the marathon. She was a member of Denizli Belediyespor before she transferred to Kasımpaşaspor in Istanbul, where Kiraz is coached by Öznur Hatipoğlu. The tall athlete at is a student of physical education and sports at the Pamukkale University's vocational college. At the 2012 Adana Half Marathon, Kiraz came second behind Bahar Doğan.
