King’s Fund
The King's Fund is an independent think tank, which is involved with work relating to the health system in England. It organises conferences and other events. Since 1997, they have jointly funded a yearly award system with Smith Kline Beecham, GlaxoSmithKline. They reward small to medium-sized health charities who are improving people's health. The Chief Executive is currently Sarah Woolnough, who was previously the Chief Executive of Asthma UK, Asthma + Lung UK. She took up the position in December 2023. Before 1948 the body contributed significantly to London's voluntary hospitals. Health has a variety of definitions, which have been used for different purposes over time. In general, it refers to physical and emotional well-being, especially that associated with normal functioning of the human body, absent of disease, pain (including mental pain), or injury. Co-production (or coproduction) is an approach in the development and delivery of public services and technology in which citizens and other key stakeholders and concepts in human society are implicitly involved in the process. Health Foundation
The Health Foundation is an independent charity and think tank for health care for people in the UK. The organisation's aim is a healthier population, supported by high quality health care that can be equitably accessed. Its programs include making grants to those working at the front line, carrying out research and policy analysis. History As the second largest endowed foundation in the UK focusing on health, they spend around £30 million a year on improving health and health care. George Stephen, 1st Baron Mount Stephen, (5 June 1829 – 29 November 1921), known as Sir George Stephen, Bt, between 1886 and 1891, was a Canadian businessman. Originally from Scotland, he made his fame in Montreal and was the first Canadian to be elevated to the Peerage of the United Kingdom. He was the financial genius behind the creation of the Canadian Pacific Railway.
