Kieran Tierney
Kieran Tierney (born 5 June 1997) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Scottish Premiership club Celtic and the Scotland national team. Tierney came through the Celtic youth system and made his first-team debut in April 2015. After playing 170 games for the club, he joined Premier League side Arsenal in August 2019 for a fee reported at £25 million. After six years with Arsenal, including one on loan with La Liga club Real Sociedad, Tierney returned to Celtic in June 2025. Tierney made his Scotland international debut in March 2016, and has since made 50 appearances for the senior side. Wishaw
Wishaw (; ; ) is a large town in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, on the edge of the River Clyde, Clyde Valley, south-east of Glasgow city centre. The town is part of the Motherwell and Wishaw (UK Parliament constituency), Motherwell and Wishaw constituency. Craigneuk
Craigneuk is a suburb of Wishaw, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. The original village of Craigneuk was located in the area where Meadowhead Road meets the A721 at Craigneuk Street. It was originally part of Dalziel parish, along with the other rural weaving villages of Flemington, Motherwell and Windmillhill. Craigneuk village was located close to the boundary with Cambusnethan parish. Mining of coal and iron ore in the 1840s lead to industrialisation and rapid population growth from rural Scotland and large numbers of migrants from Ireland. Nearby, in Cambusnethan parish the industrial communities of Shieldmuir and Berryhill were established on the road leading to Wishaw. Tommy Gemmell
Thomas Gemmell (16 October 1943 – 2 March 2017) was a Scottish football player and manager. Although right-footed, he excelled as a left-sided fullback and had powerful shooting ability. Gemmell is best known as one of the Celtic side who won the 1966–67 European Cup; he scored the first Celtic goal in the final. Gemmell played 18 times for Scotland, and also played for Nottingham Forest, Miami Toros and Dundee. After retiring as a player in 1977, Gemmell managed Dundee and Albion Rovers. Christopher Cadden (born 19 September 1996) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a right-back for club Hibernian. Cadden, who is a product of the Motherwell Academy, made his first full international appearance for Scotland in May 2018. Nicky Cadden
Nicholas Cadden (born 19 September 1996) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a winger for Hibernian. Cadden has previously played for Airdrieonians, Livingston, Ayr United, Greenock Morton and Barnsley. He is the twin brother of Chris Cadden.
