Kevin Winston Jr.
Kevin Dwayne Winston Jr. (born December 2, 2003) is an American professional football safety for the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Penn State Nittany Lions and was selected by the Titans in the third round of the 2025 NFL draft. Early life Kevin Winston Jr. attended middle school at Washington Jesuit Academy in Washington, D.C., where his father is the vice principal. His father, Kevin Winston Sr. played football at James Madison University for four seasons, winning a National Championship in 2004. Winston Jr. attended DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland. Safety (S), historically known as a safetyman, is a position in gridiron football on the American football positions#Defense, defense. The safeties are defensive backs who line up ten to fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage. There are two variations of the position: the free safety (FS) and the strong safety (SS). Their duties depend on the defensive scheme. The defensive responsibilities of the safety and cornerback usually involve pass coverage towards the middle and sidelines of the field. Franklin has served as the head football coach at Pennsylvania State University since 2014 and served in the same position at Vanderbilt University from 2011 to 2013.
