Kevin Phillips is an American actor, best known for his leading role in Suna Gonera's ''Pride'' (2007), as well as his role in 2009's '' Notorious''. Kevin starred in the George Lucas-produced 2012 film '' Red Tails'', which chronicles the story of the Tuskegee Airmen. Early life Kevin split his adolescence between Moncks Corner, South Carolina and Brooklyn. In 2000, he decided to leave his basketball scholarship at SUNY-Cobleskill to pursue an acting career. Phillips got his start in an off-Broadway play "A Little Piece of Life" directed by William Hicks. Career Kevin's first film credit was a supporting role in Queen Latifah's '' The Cookout'' (2004) opposite Tim Meadows. Kevin Mark Phillips (born 25 July 1973) is an English former professional footballer who was most recently the head coach of club AFC Fylde. A striker, Phillips started his career with Southampton but failed to make the first team and was released. He then signed for non-League side Baldock Town where he impressed, earning a move to Watford in 1994. In 1997, Phillips signed for First Division club Sunderland. In his first season he scored 35 goals in all competitions, the most goals in a season for a Sunderland player since the Second World War as well as being the league's top goalscorer. Phillips scored 23 goals in 26 league games in the following season as Sunderland were crowned champions of the First Division. He received his first call up to the England national team in 1999. Kevin Price Phillips (November 30, 1940 – October 9, 2023) was an American writer and commentator on politics, economics, and history. He emerged as a Republican Party strategist who helped devise its Southern Strategy in the 1960s. Phillips became disaffected with the party by the 1990s, subsequently leaving it to become an independent and staunch critic of the Republicans. He was a regular contributor to the ''Los Angeles Times'', ''Harper's Magazine'', and National Public Radio, and was a political analyst on PBS's '' NOW with Bill Moyers''.
