Kevin Donnalley
Kevin Thomas Donnalley (born June 10, 1968) is an American football coach and former player. He played professionally as a guard in the National Football League (NFL) for the Houston/Tennessee Oilers, Miami Dolphins, and Carolina Panthers. He is currently the Director of the Koman Game Plan for Success, a position that focuses on athlete development, for his alma mater, North Carolina. Playing career Donnalley played high school football at Athens Drive High School, from which he graduated in 1986. He played college football at Davidson College for his two years before transferring to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to finish his college career. Donnalley was drafted by the Houston Oilers in the third round of the 1991 NFL Draft. In American football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is an Lineman (gridiron football), offensive line player who lines up between the center (American football), center and the offensive tackle, tackles. Like other offensive line positions, guards are used primarily for Blocking (American football), blocking. Right guards (RG) is the term for the guards on the right of the offensive line, while left guards (LG) are on the left side. Notable guards in the National Football League include Chris Lindstrom (Atlanta Falcons), Quentin Nelson (Indianapolis Colts), and Joe Thuney (Chicago Bears). The Charlotte 49ers football program represents the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in college football. The UNC Charlotte Board of Trustees officially voted to add a football program on November 13, 2008, after a unanimous recommendation by the Football Feasibility Committee. It was made possible by Student Government initiatives starting in 2006 by then-student body president Benjamin Comstock and student body vice president Jordan Van Dyne, namely the first step of organizing a transparent student vote on football that disclosed possible hikes in tuition fees as a result of football. The online poll was approved by the Student Senate and administered in collaboration with the University's IT Department. Ronald Eugene Rivera (born January 7, 1962) is an American football executive and former professional player and coach who is the general manager for the California Golden Bears. He played nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL) as a linebacker for the Chicago Bears and was a member of their 1985 team that won Super Bowl XX. Rivera later served as the head coach of the NFL's Carolina Panthers and Washington Football Team / Commanders, earning two NFL Coach of the Year awards with the former.
