Ketnet is a Flemish public children's television channel in Belgium owned and operated by the Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroeporganisatie, VRT, Flemish public broadcaster. It broadcasts a mix of locally produced and imported productions on the VRT 3 channel from 6 am until 8 pm. History On 1 December 1997, BRTN 2 was replaced by VRT Canvas, Canvas and Ketnet. From the start of the channel, the program offering from Flemish soil has been diversified. VRT Canvas is a Belgium, Belgian television channel of the Flemish Region, Flemish public broadcasting organisation Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroeporganisatie (VRT). Specialising in both original and adaptations from western Europe and North America, the channel offers: in-depth news and current affairs, non-mainstream entertainment, documentaries, arthouse films, other cultural programming, and most recently additional children's programming. History The channel was founded on 1 December 1997 as the successor to the second channel BRTN TV2 and timeshared with the children's channel Ketnet between 7am and 8pm until 30 April 2012. ''Tik Tak'' is a Belgian television series. The series aired on BRTN from 1 November 1981 to 1991 and CBeebies in 2020. History The program was conceived by Mil Lenssens when he saw some children fascinated by the broadcast of a lottery draw. The predictable, repetitive mix of colors, movement and musical rhythms he then developed in the program, along with Clien De Vuyst. Concept There were 366 episodes produced (enough for one year, with one extra episode for leap years). Each episode begins with sheep (and the occasional dog) at sunset on a rotating platform, and ends with a shadow figure (Ann Ricour), who has all kinds of adventures in five differently colored books. ''Spring'' was a Flemish television soap made by Studio 100 for children's channel Ketnet. Six seasons were taped between 2002 and 2007 during the summer period. By popular demand the series was regularly rerun from 2011 onwards. Storylines The storylines are about group of young people finding themselves and the scene revolving around dance school Spring. VRT 1 is a public Dutch-language TV station in Belgium, owned by the VRT, which also owns Ketnet, VRT Canvas and several radio stations. Although the channel is commercial-free, short sponsorship messages are broadcast in between some programmes. VRT 1 focuses on drama, entertainment, news and current affairs in a similar vein to BBC One in the United Kingdom. ''Samson & Gert'' is a Dutch-language Belgian children's television series produced by Eline van Noppen, centered on the talking dog Samson and his owner Gert. In its entire run, the show was originally aired on TV1 from Christmas Day 1989 until 1 December 1997, where it moved to Ketnet and continues airing all of its episodes to this day. History Originally Gert Verhulst was a continuity announcer. He wanted to make the announcements before children's television programmes more appealing by having an animal puppet next to him. Kulderzipken is a Flemish television series that premiered in 1995. Two seasons of ten episodes each have been made since then. The final episode aired in 1996. Concept Once upon a time there was, in country far, far, far away, a king called Jozef (Jan Decleir), and his wife, queen Angina ( Karine Tanghe).
