Jawi (; ace, Jawoë; Kelantan-Pattani: ''Yawi''; ) is a writing system used for writing several languages of Southeast Asia, such as Acehnese, Banjarese, Kerinci, Maguindanaon, Malay, Minangkabau, Tausūg, and Ternate. Kedah Malay
Kedah Malay or Kedahan (); also known as ''Pelat Utara'' or ''Loghat Utara'' ('Northern Dialect') or as it is known in Thailand, Syburi Malay () is a variety of the Malayic languages mainly spoken in the northwestern Malaysian states of Perlis, Kedah, Penang, and northern Perak and in the southern Thai provinces of Trang and Satun. The usage of Kedah Malay was historically prevalent in southwestern Thailand before being superseded by the Thai language. Kubang Pasu District
The Kubang Pasu District is a district in northern Kedah, Malaysia. It contains the border town of Bukit Kayu Hitam as well as the educational hub of Changlun, while Jitra is the largest town and administrative centre of the district. The district council had been upgraded into municipal council on 22 October 2018, become the fifth city or municipal in the state. History In the 19th century Kubang Pasu was a semi-independent kingdom, known as '' Kubang Pasu Darul Qiyam'', ruled by Phaya or King Tunku Anom Prince of Kedah. It was reintegrated into Kedah proper in the 1860s. Kedah
Kedah (), also known by its honorific Darul Aman and historically as Queda, is a state of Malaysia, located in the northwestern part of Peninsular Malaysia. Sultan Abdul Halim Airport
Sultan Abdul Halim Airport is an airport in Kepala Batas, Kedah, Malaysia. It serves the city of Alor Setar and state of Perlis due to the state's small geographical size (but international as well as cross-sea flights to the Northern Peninsular, especially those from East Malaysia utilises the Penang International Airport as the main gateway). The airport, located in Kepala Batas, is away from town, can handle up to 800,000 ppa. Built in 1929, the airport is the 2nd oldest airport in Peninsular Malaysia, after Taiping Airport. The new terminal is already operational by 5 May 2006 to cater for future traffic growth. The new terminal has the capacity to receive the Airbus A330 operations as the runway was extended from the previous to .
