Kentrocapros Aculeatus
''Kentrocapros aculeatus'', the Itomaki basketfish, is a species of marine ray-finned fish belonging to the family Aracanidae, the temperate boxfishes or deepwater boxfishes. This species is found in the north western and central Pacific Ocean. Taxonomy ''Kentrocapros aculeatus'' was first formally described as ''Ostracion cubicus aculeatus'' in 1782 by the Dutch naturalist Martinus Houttuyn with its type locality given as Nagasaki. In 1787 Carl Peter Thunberg described ''Ostracion hexagonus'' from Japan and in 1855 Johann Jakob Kaup proposed a new monotypic subgenus of '' Aracana'' which he called '' Kentrocapros'' with ''O. hexagonus'' as its only species. ''O. hexagonus'' is now considered to be a synonym of ''O. c. aculeatus'', so this species is the type species of ''Kentrocapros'' by monotypy. Martinus Houttuyn
Maarten Houttuyn or Houttuijn (1720 – 2 May 1798; Latinised as Martinus Houttuyn) was a Dutch naturalist. Houttuyn was born in Hoorn, studied medicine in Leiden and moved to Amsterdam in 1753. He published many books on natural history, e.g. ''Natuurlyke Historie of uitvoerige Beschryving der Dieren, Planten en Mineraalen, volgens het Samenstel van den Heer Linnaeus'', in 37 volumes (1761-1773), following Carl Linnaeus' division into the animal kingdom, the plant kingdom, and the mineral kingdom. ''Fishes of the World'' is a standard reference for the systematics of fishes. It was first written in 1976 by the American ichthyologist Joseph S. Nelson (1937–2011). Now in its fifth edition (2016), the work is a comprehensive overview of the diversity and classification of the 30,000-plus fish species known to science. The book begins with a general overview of ichthyology, although it is not self-contained. After a short section on Chordata and non-fish taxa, the work lists all known fish families in a systematic fashion. Each family is given at least one paragraph, and usually a body outline drawing; large families have subfamilies and tribes described as well. Toyama Bay
is a bay located on the northern shores of the Hokuriku region of Honshu, Japan on the Sea of Japan. The bay borders Toyama and Ishikawa prefectures.
