Ken Bennett
Kenneth Roy Bennett (born August 1, 1959) is an American politician. A member of the Republican Party, he was a member of the Arizona Senate from 2023 to 2025. He previously was a member of the state Senate from 1999 to 2007, and president of the state Senate from 2003 to 2007. He was Secretary of State of Arizona from 2009 to 2015. He unsuccessfully ran for governor of Arizona in the 2014 and 2018 elections. Early life Ken Bennett was born in Tucson, Arizona. His parents moved to Prescott shortly thereafter, where he was raised and later graduated from Prescott High School. Upon graduation, Bennett served a two-year mission in southern Japan, and remains an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 1981, he graduated from Yavapai College under the President's Scholarship. Karen Fann
Karen Fann (born September 1, 1954) is a former Republican member of the Arizona Senate, representing Arizona Legislative District 1. Fann became President of the Arizona Senate in 2019, and served until 2023. After Joe Biden won the 2020 presidential election and Donald Trump and other Republicans made false claims of electoral fraud, Fann ordered an audit of the election results in Maricopa County. The audit was widely seen as an illegitimate "effort to undermine valid election results". Fann announced in November 2021 that she would not run for re-election in 2022. The 2018 Arizona gubernatorial election took place on November 6, 2018, to elect the governor of Arizona, concurrently with the election of Arizona's Class I U.S. Senate seat, as well as other elections to the United States Senate in other states and elections to the United States House of Representatives and various state and local elections.
