Kemalpaşa is a municipality and Districts of Turkey, district of İzmir Province, Turkey. Its area is 681 km2, and its population is 114,250 (2022). Kemalpaşa town is from the historical and traditional center of İzmir, (Konak, İzmir, Konak) and has high levels of development in terms of industry and services. İzmir-Ankara highway crosses the district area to the north of the district center. Kemalpaşa district borders the district Bornova to the west, Yunusemre, Şehzadeler and Turgutlu (Manisa Province) in the north and east, and İzmir's districts of Torbalı and Bayındır in the south. Mustafakemalpaşa is a municipality and Districts of Turkey, district of Bursa Province, Turkey. Its area is 1,641 km2, and its population is 102,284 (2022). History The ancient Greece, Greek name of the town was Kremaste (Κρεμαστή in Ancient Greek, Kırmasti in modern Turkish language, Turkish), under the Kingdom of Bithynia. Around 300 AD, the town became important when it became a Christian diocese. In 1336, the town was incorporated into the Ottoman Empire by Orhan. From 1867 until 1922, Kırmasti was part of Hüdavendigâr vilayet. The town was devastated in 1920 during the Greco-Turkish War (1919–1922), Greco-Turkish war. After the Turkish War of Independence, War of Independence, led by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the town council decided to rename the city ''Mustafakemalpaşa'' in his honor. Manos Hatzidakis
Manos Hatzidakis (also spelled Hadjidakis; ; 23 October 1925 – 15 June 1994) was a Greek composer and theorist of Greek music, widely regarded as one of the greatest Greek composers of all time. He was one of the main proponents of the " Éntekhno" form of music, along with Mikis Theodorakis, and he is credited as the founder of the Orchestra of Colours, an ensemble performing lesser-known works and the music of Greek composers, and influenced a broad swathe of Greek culture through his writings and radio broadcasts. With his theoretical and compositional work, he is considered to be the first to connect post-war the worded music with traditional music. In 1960, Hatzidakis won an Academy Award for Best Original Song for " Never on Sunday" from the film '' Never on Sunday'', but he refused the award because he felt that Athens was misrepresented in the film.
