Kayıhan, İhsaniye
Kayıhan is a town (''belde'') and municipality in the İhsaniye District, Afyonkarahisar Province, Turkey. Its population is 2,119 (2022). The Kayıhan municipality was created in 1989 by the consolidation of the villages of Tekke, Garen, and Kunduzlu. Kayıhan's current neighborhoods include Pınar, Cumhuriyet, Türbe, and Kunduzlu. Adjacent to Kayıhan's Hayran Veli Mosque is the tomb of Hayran Veli Sultan, said to be a folk healer from Khorasan. Near Kayıhan are various ruins of the Göynüş Valley (the "Phrygian Valley") such as the Aslantaş ("lion stone"). The name "Kayıhan" is said to come from the Kayı tribe to which Oghuz Khan Oghuz Khagan or Oghuz Khan (; ; ) is a legendary khan of the Turkic people and an eponymous ancestor of Oghuz Turks. Belde
Belde (literally "town", also known as ''kasaba'') means "large village with a municipality" in Turkish language, Turkish. All Turkish province centers and district centers have municipalities, but the Villages of Turkey, villages are usually too small to have municipalities. The population in some villages may exceed 2000 and in such villages a small municipality may be established depending on residents' choice. Such villages are called ''belde''. Up to 2014 the number of ''belde'' municipalities was about 1400. On 30 March 2014 by the act no. 6360 all villages (those with and without municipality) were included in the urban fabric of the district municipalities in 30 provinces. Thus ''belde'' municipalities in 30 provinces were abolished. The number of abolished ''belde'' municipalities is 1040. is an Arabic word variously translated as district, quarter, ward, or neighborhood in many parts of the Arab world, the Balkans, Western Asia, the Indian subcontinent, and nearby nations. Kayı (tribe)
The Kayı or Kayi tribe (Karakhanid language, Karakhanid: قَيِغْ ''qayïγ'' or ''qayig''; , ) were an Oghuz Turks, Oghuz Turkic peoples, Turkic people and a sub-branch of the Oghuz Turks, Bozok tribal federation. Oghuz Khagan
Oghuz Khagan or Oghuz Khan (; ; ) is a legendary khan of the Turkic people and an eponymous ancestor of Oghuz Turks. Some Turkic cultures use the legend of Oghuz Khan to describe their ethnic and tribal origins. The various versions of the narrative preserved in many different manuscripts have been published in numerous languages as listed below in the references.
