Katie Swan
Katie Swan (born 24 March 1999) is a British tennis player. She has won 13 International Tennis Federation, ITF singles titles and one in doubles. Her peak world ranking in singles is 118 and her highest in doubles is 293. When she made her debut, Swan was the youngest player to represent Great Britain in the Fed Cup. Personal life Swan was born in Bristol, to parents Nicki and Richard. Whilst on holiday in Portugal when she was seven, she took tennis lessons. Her teacher had once played for Portugal and told her parents that she showed real talent and could represent her country in the future. Avon (county)
Avon ( ) was a Shire county, non-metropolitan and ceremonial counties of England, ceremonial county in the west of England that existed between 1974 and 1996. The county was named after the River Avon (Bristol), River Avon, which flows through the area. It was formed from the county boroughs of County Borough of Bristol, Bristol and County Borough of Bath, Bath, together with parts of the Administrative counties of England, administrative counties of Gloucestershire and Somerset. Tereza Mihalíková (; born 2 June 1998) is a Slovak tennis player. She has a career-high doubles ranking of world No. 33 by the Women's Tennis Association, WTA, reached on 17 March 2025. She has won one doubles title on the WTA Tour and three WTA 125 tournaments, WTA Challenger doubles titles, along with eight singles and 19 doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. Maureen Connolly
Maureen Catherine Connolly-Brinker (née Connolly; September 17, 1934 – June 21, 1969), known as "Little Mo", was an American tennis player, the winner of nine major singles titles in the early 1950s. In 1953, she became the first woman to win a Grand Slam (all four major tournaments during the same calendar year). She is also the only player in history to win a title without losing a set at all four major championships. The following year, in July 1954, a horseback riding accident seriously injured her right leg and ended her competitive tennis career at age 19. She died of ovarian cancer at the age of 34.
